The invention relates to an internal combustion engine which functions as follows: If ZSR (2) is pushed into ZSR (1), these will form a tubular ring in the middle, which is divided by the fitting of pistons (4) in the cylinder (3). The ZSR (1 and 2) now move respectively through 90@ clockwise in succession so that the volumes of the cylinders (3) are increased or reduced. These constantly recurring rotational movements produce the known four strokes (intake, compression, combustion and exhaust).
