PURPOSE:To relieve the load of an exchange and to prevent momentary interruption due to zone change, by providing a call channel and a common control channel, allowing each mobile terminal equipment to continue the observation of the common control channel through the use of an idle time during communication and to transmit a switching request signal to a base station if a base station with better condition than that of the base station is found during communication. CONSTITUTION:A terminal equipment monitors a control channel during communication and the terminal equipment transmits a connection request signal to a base station 2 when the control signal of the base station 2 is stronger than that of the base station 1. The base station 2 designates a call channel in response thereto. The terminal equipment transmits a test signal to the channel. When the test signal is received correctly by the base station 2 and a test O.K. signal is sent, the terminal station transmits a switching request signal to the base station 1. The base station 1 reports it to an exchange and transmits a switching instruction to the terminal equipment according to the switching instruction from the exchange. The terminal equipment switches the call channel to that of the base station 2. Thus, the zone is switched without momentary interruption of communication. |
