PURPOSE:To automate register mark discrimination for the registration of multicolor printing by rotating a disk where filters differing in wavelength range are fitted at a constant speed and reading an image through the filters. CONSTITUTION:The narrow-band filters 3 of about 480nm, 580nm, 650nm, and 800nm are fitted to the disk 4, which is rotated at the constant speed; and a register mark 2 is inputted as an image through an image reader 6. Consequently, a color transmitted through the 480nm filter 3 is discriminated as cyan, a color transmitted through the 580nm filter 3 as yellow, and a color transmitted through the 650nm filter 3 and not transmitted through the 580nm filter 3 as magenta to measure the shift quantity of the register mark 2 of a multicolor image printed in 2 or >=3 colors, and the calculation of a correction quantity accompanying it is facilitated. |
