The device is for attaching loose sheaves by using staples and has a conveyor chain on which entraining members (1) for the conductor are provided with the sheaves. There is also a stapling head which is movable as part of the course. On the side entraining the sheaves, a number of the members are provided with removable clamping, filling parts (4). The filling parts are variable in thickness and comprise a number of plates. The entraining members have bores (5) into which pins (6) on the filler parts are shaped, the filling parts being mfd. in plastics.
