PURPOSE:To obtain a magenta toner superior in color development performance, light and heat resistances of a magenta color, strong in coloring power, and not dyeing a fixing roller and the like by incorporating a compound classified in C.I. Pigment Red 5 and a thioindigo type pigment. CONSTITUTION:The magenta toner contains the compound classified in C.I. Pigment Red 5, such as an organic insoluble monoazo pigment represented by formula I, and a thioindigo type pigment. The binder resin to be used is polystyrene or its derived monopolymer, such as poly-p-chlorostyrene optionally substituted, and styrene-p-chlorostyrene copolymer, etc., thus permitting the obtained magenta toner to be clear in color and strong in coloring power, and superior in light and heat resistances, and not to dye the fixing roller. |
