<p>NEW MATERIAL:An amino acid derivative shown by formula I [R<1> is aryl, lower alkyl or heterocyclic group which may be replaced with substituent group selected from a group consisting of lower alkoxy and halo (lower) alkyl; R<2> is H or lower alkyl; R<3> is lower alkyl] and a salt thereof. EXAMPLE:2(S)-[N<alpha>-(2-(RS)-Benzyl-4-oxo-4-phenylbutyryl-L-histidyl ]amino-1- cyclohexyl-3(S)-hydroxy-6-methylheptane. USE:Having inhibitory activity against renin and useful as an antihypertensive agent. PREPARATION:A compound shown by formula II is reacted with a compound shown by formula III to give a compound shown by formula IV, which is subjected to elimination reaction of N-protecting group by a method such as hydrolysis or reduction. Then the formed product is reacted with a compound shown by formula V to give a compound shown by formula I.</p> |
