The capacitor consists of two concentric electrode rings separated by a ring of borium nitride. The temp. of the capacitance is controlled and monitored to achieve thermal balance. The sensor is installed in chimneys in which smoke contg. small quantities of sulphur compounds and nitrous oxide may condense and form acids.
