PURPOSE:To miniaturize and to make light weight of a lifting device for auxiliary material charging hopper by arranging a conveyor for returning to the hopper of the auxiliary material for refining in a jet flow stirring type ladle refining device. CONSTITUTION:A hollow vessel 3 is inserted into molten steel 2 in a ladle 1 and by pressurizing and reducing the pressure in the hollow vessel 3, the molten steel 2 is vertically moved in the hollow vessel 3, and then the molten steel 2 is stirred and by adding the cold material and the sub-raw materials of deoxidization, desulfurization, dephosphorization, etc., secondary refining is executed to the molten steel. In this case, the hopper P for cold material, the hopper Q1 for first auxiliary material, the hopper Q2 for second auxiliary material and the lifting and swinging device 7 for holding changing dampers 13, 14 and the hollow vessel 3 are arranged.
