PURPOSE:To prevent falling off of a matting agent in a stage of quick development by incorporating polymer particles having functional groups which are reactive with an org. hardening agent into an outermost layer of a silver halide photographic sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:Polymer particles (matting agent) having 0.2-10mum mean particle size and functional groups reactive with an org. hardening agent or with gelatin, are incorporated into an outermost layer of a sensitive material. The polymer particles consist of a polymer of ethylenic unsatd. monomer, etc., and the functional groups are groups expressed by formulas I, II, and III, etc. In the formulas, M is an alkali metal, or ammonium ion; R is H atom, alkyl group, or aralkyl group; X is -O- group; Y is -CN, -COCH3 group, etc. Since a matting agent is contained in the outermost layer of the polymer particles, falling off of the matting agent is inhibited, generation of stain or scratch is eliminated, and contamination of developing soln. is prevented. |
