PURPOSE:To eliminate wrong copies and to improve operability by driving a rotating mechanism and a moving mechanism so that sheets can be set according as an original set on the reading surface lies with the shorter side at the top or with the longer side at the top. CONSTITUTION:The titled copying machine is provided with the rotating mechanism 10 capable of rotating within a prescribed angle range a sheet receiving part in which sheets to be copied are placed, the moving mechanism 18 capable of advancing and retreating the rotating mechanism 10 a prescribed distance in the preset sheet feeding direction, and a control means 26 driving the rotating mechanism 10 and the moving mechanism 18 so that sheets can be set according as an original set on the reading surface lies with the shorter side at the top or with the longer side at the top. Even if nay variable power copy mode is set, copying sheets can be automatically set according as an original lies with the shorter side at the top or with the longer side at the top, thereby improving operability. |
