PURPOSE:To improve freedom of arrangement in a cabover vehicle by coupling a master cylinder to a master back secured to the body rollably between a concentric center position and a horizontal position, and providing a lock means which is secured to the concentric center position. CONSTITUTION:Operating force is transmitted from a brake pedal 13 through a rod 14 to a master back 1 where it is doubled and transmitted to a master cylinder 5. The master back 1 is fixed to a bracket 17 through a floor panel 16 along a bonnet 15 in a limited engine room of a cabover type vehicle. The master cylinder 5 is coupled with the master back 1 rollably between a concentric center position and a horizontal position, and normally secured to the concentric center position through a lock means. It is brought to the horizontal position when air is ventilated from the master cylinder. Since the master cylinder and the master back are not required to be arranged horizontally, freedom of arrangement in the engine room can be improved. |
