PURPOSE:To obtain carbon-carbon bond in high optical yield, industrially and advantageously in Grignard reaction forming the carbon-carbon bond, by using a trivalent phosphorus compound derivative having a natural saccharide skeleton as an asymmetric ligand of a metallic complex catalyst as an asymmetry source. CONSTITUTION:In subjecting a compound shown by the formula R<1>MgX and a compound shown by the formula R<2>X' (R<1> and R<2> are substituted or nonsubstituted hydrocarbon residue, at least one of R<1> and R<2> has asymmetric center or carbon capable of becoming asymmetric center and R<1> and R<2> are in relationship to be bonded to form chiral compound; X is halogen) to asymmetric cross bond reaction in the presence of a complex consisting of an asymmetric ligand and a catalytically active metallic salt, trivalent phosphorus compound derivative having a natural saccharide skeleton, preferably mono- - di-(didehydro) substituted material, especially the substituted material containing remaining liberated hydroxyl group which is further blocked is used as the asymmetric ligand to give the titled bond useful for fine synthesis for drugs and agricultural chemicals in high optical yield, industrially, simply, readily, economically and advantageously. |
