The machine manufactures a cardboard packaging having a four-walled parallelepipedal belt 11, a rectangular base 12, preferably with flaps, and two heat-shrinkable plastic sheets 13, 14 for pressing the products against the base. According to a preferred embodiment, the belt 11b is formed into a volume from a blank of folded cardboard 11a and slipped around a mandrel-shaper 6 of a transporter 7. Borders 131, 141 of the sheets are adhesively bonded onto the outer faces of two opposite walls 111, 113 of the belt 11c and the remainder of the sheets, after cutting, is folded over into the belt. Then, the base 12 is formed from a flat cardboard blank 12a and placed on the formed belt 11d so that base flaps 121, 123 and the said outer belt wall faces enclose the sheet borders which shape edges 116, 117 of the wall at 180 DEG .
