The wringable floor mop unit comprises a stick (1) carrying a slidable and rotatable handle (6). A mop consists of cabled threads (3), at one end (4) secured to the lower end of the stick and at the other end (5) to the lower end of the handle. - The ends are secured in a head (8) releasably carried at the lower end of the stick, whilst the other ends (5) are secured to the handle, e.g. via a ring (19) through loops (20) at these ends and a collar (18) on the handle to support the ring. The head may be fixed to the stick by a transverse pin through aligned bores in the hollow stick end and the upper head end inserted.
