The invention relates to a coin-operated gaming machine having a plurality of rotary bodies, if appropriate transparent, on which symbols are applied in symbol fields and which, at the end of a game, indicate a symbol combination deciding on a win or non-win in the indicator fields assigned to the rotary bodies. The subject of the invention is characterised in that a stationary tubular reflector (17) matched to the size of the symbol fields (6) and having a lamp (16) is arranged behind or in front of each symbol field (6) of each rotary body (3, 4, 5), the said symbol field (6) being visible from the front side of the gaming machine, and in that the indicator fields critical for the symbol combination are marked on the symbol fields (6) by back lighting or lighting as a result of the switch-on of lamps (16) selected differently during each game. <IMAGE>
