The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for concentrating substances from liquids by saturating a liquid with gas under pressure, for the subsequent expansion in a floatation cell and for the filtration of the floating material. In order, with a high efficiency, to make possible for example both a liquid cleaning and a dewatering of the concentrate obtained during the cleaning, it is proposed according to the invention to feed at least partially processed liquid and gas or gas which is to be cleaned to a jet pump via a feed pump, to feed the liquid which is to be cleaned between the jet pump and the floatation cell, to feed the concentrate obtained in the floatation cell to a dewatering cell and to feed the liquid phase separated off in the dewatering cell again to the at least partially processed liquid and to the gas via the suction-side connection of the jet pump. Furthermore, the invention relates to an apparatus for carrying out the method, which is simple in terms of equipment and can be produced in one unit.
