<p>The housing comprises a body (1) for accommodating the visual display unit, the body including a window (19) to enable the visual display unit to be viewed by a viewer on an external side of the window. A non-reflective surface (20) is situated adjacent the window, the window being so shaped that light incident on the external side of the window is reflected from the window on to the generally non-reflective surface in order to prevent light reflected from the external side of the window reaching the viewer and impairing the clarity of the information displayed by the visual display unit. The body (1) is formed from two portions (2,3) fastened together by toggle latch fasteners (14) and lift-off hinges (15). A vent assembly (5) may act as a handle. The body may be formed of glass reinforced plastic, and the window is formed of a polycarbonate material.</p> |
