PURPOSE:To enable a status of high urgency to be easily checked on a host side, by annexing a common leased line which expresses variation of each status sent from a printing side to the host side to a status line. CONSTITUTION:An attention signal IATN which varies at a point of time when a status of high urgency such as a PRINT request status, a VSYNC request status, a first image transferring status, a second color image transferring status, etc. varies, is sent out by a common leased line from a two color LBP 199 to a host system 500. The above-mentioned status of high urgency is always monitored with the host system 500 which has received the attention signal IATN. Therefore, extension of an interface signal wire and an increase of a load on a host side can be avoided, and besides, the status of high urgency from a printing side to the host side can be easily checked on the host side. |
