PURPOSE:To obtain a sublimation transfer sheet capable of imparting a clear transfer record in a cyan color with high color density, by supporting on a base an ink layer comprising at least one compound of a specified formula. CONSTITUTION:A sublimation transfer sheet is produced by a method wherein a coloring matter of formula (I) [wherein each of R1 and R2 is independently an alkyl(1-6C), allyl or phenylalkyl(1-5C), R3 is hydrogen, an alkyl(1-6C), allyl or phenylalkyl(1-2C)] is dissolved or dispersed in particulate form in a medium together with a binder to prepare an ink, and the ink is applied to a sheet-shaped base such as a plastic film and a paper, followed by drying. The binder may be, for example, a water-soluble resin based on cellulose, acrylic acid, starch or the like or an organic solvent-soluble resin such as an acrylic resin, a methacrylic resin and ethyl cellulose, at least one such substance being used either singly or in combination. |
