PURPOSE:To prevent a biomedical adhesive from hardening during an interruption of adhesive application by providing an applicator including a pair of syringes, a flat-tip nozzle, a spray, means for holding the syringes, and means for actuating plungers as one. CONSTITUTION:Syringes 1 and 1 are paired and secured on a syringe holder 4. A nozzle 2 is attached to the tip 7 of one syringe 1 containing fibrinogen. A spray is attached to the tip 7 of the other syringe 1 containing the same amount of thrombin. An actuator for simultaneously pushing plungers 8 and 8 is attached to the plunger flanges 14 and 14 and the plunger rods 13 and 13. In operation, with an index finger placed on the flange 12 of the syringe holder 4, the actuator 5 is pressed by a thumb to insert the plungers 8 and 8 into barrels 6 and 6 so that the two liquids can be simultaneously ejected on an area of interest. Since the two liquids are mixed only after the ejection, they will not harden even if the adhesive application is interrupted. |
