A seven transistor CMOS XOR gate, the output of which is driven by an inverter 36, is disclosed. One transistor 40 is used to provide a weak feedback to prevent current flow through the inverter when both inputs are high. The inverter output allows the gate to directly drive other gates. Some constructional details are given, for example transistors 30, 31 share a common n-region. Similarly transistor pairs 35, 40 and 34, 35 have common regions. <IMAGE>
