The invention concerns a process for quality control of a flat object, in particular for detecting defects in textile fabrics, using an optical sensor and a light source which can be moved relative to the object and a photoelectric evaluation device for the light reflected or transmitted by the object. The object is scanned and an electrical signal is generated. A rectangle is illuminated on the object and represented, by an anamorphotic image, on a line or matrix sensor and an integration signal is obtained. For this purpose, the surface of the object is integrated optically in the region of the integration width in the direction of movement of the object as a progressive continuum to a line of the same height as a sensor line and the sensing width of the rectangle is integrated along the length of the sensor line and represented on the line or matrix sensor. The integration signal is characterized in the direction of integration by a different representation criterion from that in the direction of the sensor line and the actual line signal (IS) undergoes a threshold value and/or counting operation.
|
