A container tilter comprising a base (1), a container support (12) pivotally mounted on the base, link means (16) connected at (17) to the support and engaged in a track on the base at the other end and adapted for engagement by an external power source e.g. a fork lift truck for tilting the support, includes a prop (19) pivotally connected at one end to the support, there being means on the base to receive the other end of the prop. The prop is provided with a latch (26) to hold the prop in an inoperative condition against the support when the support is to be lowered from a tilted condition, said latch being automatically disengaged when said support is returned from a tilted position to rest position where it lies on said base. <IMAGE> |
