PURPOSE:To improve the characteristics of a sheath by specifying the constitution ratios of a monomer having a fluoroalkyl group and acrylic group or methacrylic group having >=1 hydrogen atoms. in 1mol., fluorine contained polymer, crosslinkable monomer having >=2 polymerizable functional group in 1mol. and photopolymn. initiator. CONSTITUTION:This compsn. is constituted of the monomer (a) having the fluoroalkyl group and acrylic group or methacrylic group having >=1 hydrogen atoms. in 1mol., the fluorine-contained polymer (b), the crosslinkable monomer (c) having >=2 polymerizable functional groups in 1mol. and the photopolymn. initiator (d). The compsn. having 99/1-1/1 weight ratio of the component (a) and the component (c) consists of 99-50wt.% and the component (b) of 1-50wt.%. The component (d) is added to this compsn. at the ratio 0.1-10pts. wt. per 100pts.wt. total of the component (a) and the component (b). The control of the refractive index is thereby enabled and the matching property of the refractive index as the sheath for an optical fiber is improved; in addition, the heat resistance and flexibility as well as the adhesiveness to the optical fiber core are improved. |
