PURPOSE:To improve a traveling property, wear resistance, durability, etc., by providing a magnetic layer contg. a perfluoroalkylamine salt carboxylic acid as a lubricant on a nonmagnetic base. CONSTITUTION:A good lubricating effect is maintained over a long period of time under various conditions and a magnetic recording medium having the high traveling property, wear resistance and durability is obtd. if the perfluoroalkylamine salt of carboxylic acid satisfying the general formula expressed by the formula I is incorporated as the lubricant into the magnetic layer. In the formula, n; 1-3 integer, R; hydrocarbon group, R1-R3; at least one thereof is a perfluoroalkyl group of >=3C. |
