Support and binding device for a ski boot (Figure 1) for snowboarding 14 including adjustable safety bindings 25, 27, orientable 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16 and adjustable 22, 26 supports, and board brakes 29. The aim of the invention is to permit snowboarding while wearing downhill-skiing clothing and under comparable safety conditions. The bearing plane of the foot will be raised with respect to the board and the safety bindings must have a minimum longitudinal overall size in order to prevent contact between the bindings or the foot and the snow during snowboarding. The foot may be left free in rotation with the proposed device, and the spacing between the feet can be adjusted. A board brake system will permit independent halting of the board when the skier's foot has lost contact with the board. <IMAGE>
