Plate exchanger formed by piling a specific number of grooved plates 1 of the same type pressed against each other between two ends using tie-rods. The plates have at their corners passages 2, 3, 4, 5 for the entry and exit of fluids, and the alternation of the fluids between the successive spaces between the plates 1 is achieved by gaskets 7 of the appropriate shape set out inside a peripheral groove 6 formed in general by pressing, characterised in that the positioning and maintenance of leaktight gaskets 7 inside the grooves 6 are achieved simply by inserting one male part 10 provided in the central part of the groove 6, the height of which is no greater than the depth of the said grooves, inside one corresponding female part 11 provided within the thickness of the gaskets 7. <IMAGE>
