Conditioning of control signals in order to resolve the phase ambiguity in the case of n-PSK signals

In order to condition control signals to resolve the phase ambiguity during demodulation of n-PSK signals, coding is carried out in such a manner that the binary significance value is proportional to the phase angle. A counter (CNT) is made to count upwards or downwards on the basis of the direction in which the phase angle changes. The count is available as a control signal (C1, C2) for a transformation stage which makes the phase ambiguity recoverable (Figure 3). <IMAGE>
