Injectors 9 which are connected via channels 6 to the interior of the drum are arranged on the periphery of the solid-bowl centrifuge drum 1. The propelling jets 12 of the injectors 9 are aligned in the direction of rotation of the drum. As a result, air continuously flows through them and they produce a partial vacuum in the suction chamber 11 of the injector 9, which partial vacuum extends into the interior of the drum. This partial vacuum brings about a reduction in the formation of foam in products which have this tendency. <IMAGE>
