PURPOSE:To change exhaust operation to exhaust in air and exhaust in water according to circumstances by providing a partition in the midway of an exhaust passage leading under the water, which is formed in a drive shaft housing and a gear case, and disposing opening portions at the upper and lower portions thereof. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas from an engine enters an upper exhaust passage 1a in a drive shaft housing 1 and is stopped by a partition 2, so that the exhaust gas is conducted to a lower exhaust passage 1b through a connecting pipe 3 between upper and lower opening portions 5, 6 and discharged under the water through an exhaust passage 4a of a gear case 4. In case of exhaust in air, a muffler 7 is mounted at the upper opening portion 5 and a switching plate 13 is mounted at the lower opening portion 6 between a spring 11 in a spring shoe 10 having an exhaust port 9 and a switching plate seat 12. Thus, exhaust operation can be easily changed to exhaust in air or exhaust in water according to circumstances so as to cope with water contamination, air pollution, noise in water and noise in air. |
