PURPOSE: To make coupling of stuffing box with shaft easier by arranging at least one guide bush in the casing and centering the stuffing box with the shaft by the guide bush. CONSTITUTION: A stuffing box 7 is composed of a casing 8 and packings 9, 9a arranged in the case. A guide bush 10 is fixed around the packings 9 and 9a. And, the guide bush 10 acts on the lap sleeve 17 as a sliding bearing, and centers the stuffing box 7 to the lap sleeve 17. The lap sleeve 17 is sealed through at least one packing 18 while fixed on the shaft 2 by stop screw 19. And, flange 20 is fixed on flange 3 by a screw joint 14 through packing ring 16, and the flange 21 is fixed on the casing 8 by a screw joint 15 through packing ring 16 to fasten both sides of the compensator 4. |
