PURPOSE:To improve the superconductive property aud the mechanical strength by furnishing a superconductive segment elemental conductor binding all the wires including all the elements which compose a specific superconductor to plural neighboring wires each other, collecting such a conductor and an ordinary conductive segment conductor, applying a wiredrawing process to make a superconductive elemental wire, and then giving a heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:Plural lines of copper alloy wires 1 and 2 or metallic wires in which all the elements composing an oxide of A-B-Cu-O system (where A is a metal element of the periodic table IIIa group such as Y, La, and Ce, and B is a metal element of the alkaline earth metal elements such as Ba and Sr) are neighboring each other are bound to make a super conductive segment elemental conductor 4. Such a superconductive segment elemental conductor 4 and at least one ordinary conductive segment conductor 6 consisting of an ordinary metallic conductor are collected, a wiredrawing process is applied to make a superconductive elemental wire 7, and then a heat treatment is given. As a result, the connections of all the wires in the superconductive segment elemental con ductor 4 react on condition that they are closely contacted, and an oxide superconductor of uniform structure is produced along the whole length of the superconductive wire 9 in a continuous condition. In such a composition, a superconductive wire of a high mechanical strength can be produced. |
