PURPOSE:To increase sealing effect from the initial stage of the start of a compressor and to always give the steady sealing effect, by always bringing a seal ring into contact with the sliding surface of a rotor through firm adhesion of an elastic body to the side of the seal ring, facing the sliding surface of a rotor. CONSTITUTION:A seal ring 19 is constituted such that an elastic body 20, made of rubber material, is firmly bonded to the side of the seal ring, facing the sliding surface of a rotor, and the seal ring 19 is pressed against the sliding surface of a rotor (piston 9). The elastic body 20 is provided with the proper slits 21 formed in a radial manner so that oil pressure is exerted on the back surface of the seal ring 19. With this constitution, when lubricating oil fed in a vane groove 8 is about to flow in the suction side of a cylinder 15 through gaps between side plates 2, 3 and the sliding surfaces of the rotor, the seal ring 19 is pressed against the sliding surface of the rotor and the outside of an annular groove 18 through the expansion action of the lubricating oil to provide sealing effect. This always produces steady sealing effect, and promotes improvement in compression efficiency. |
