PURPOSE:To prevent image deffects, such as black spots, through the reversal developing method by incorporating a carrier transfer material in a carrier generating layer and an electron conductive material in a protective layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is obtained by forming on a supporting body 3 a photosensitive layer 1 composed of the carrier generating layer 11 containing the carrier transfer material and a carrier transfer layer 12, and the protective layer 2. The protective layer 2 contains the electron conductive material, and the electron conductive material contained in the layer 2 has substantially no sensitivity in the photosensitive wavelength region of the photosensitive layer 1 and it has the function of a carrier generating material having a photosensitive peak beyond said wavelength region at the same time, thus permitting rise of residual potential not to occur even at the time of repeated uses, mechanical strength of the surface of the photosensitive body to be enhanced, and good image quality free from black spots to be obtained even at the time of reversal development. |
