<p>In the thermal decomposition of plastic wastes in a fluidised-bed pyrolysis reactor (10), the waste material is fed to the fluidised-bed reactor (10) through a feed channel (22, 42) which is lined with a sliding layer or has a smooth steel wall suitable for sliding. At the same time, the pyrolysis residue, which is discharged from the fluidised-bed reactor (10) through a discharge channel (68), is loosened in the latter by blowing in a gas.
