NEW MATERIAL:AG55-2 of formula I. USE:Medicine having antitumor and superoxide-removing activities. PREPARATION:A bacterium producing AG55-2 in Streptomyces such as Streptomyces torulosus 1368-MT1 is aerobically cultured in an appropriate medium, preferably containing sucrose as a carbon source, yeast essence, molasses, casein as a nitrogen source, when needed, additionally inorganic salts and/or silicone defoaming agent, preferably at 27-30 deg.C, particularly preferably by the submerged method, then AG55-2 is collected from the culture mixture through a reasonable process. |
