TREATMENT OF POLYESTER FIBER CLOTH

PURPOSE: To efficiently produce high-grade dyed products having an excellent touch by subjecting polyester-based fiber cloth to weight-loss treatment and dyeing one at the same time in a treatment bath where hydrolysis resistant disperse dye and a hydrolyzing agent coexist. CONSTITUTION: The method of this invention is to treat relaxed and scoured polyester-based fiber cloth in a treatment bath where hydrolysis resistant disperse dye and 1-25 g/L caustic soda as a hydrolyzing agent coexist to produce dyed cloth excellent in silkiness and drapability in a usual way preferably by means of a jet dyeing machine. By performing both weight-loss processing and dyeing one in a single bath process in an unusual way, high-grade dyed cloth having the same excellent feeling as that of conventional dyed cloth is produced.
