PURPOSE:To obtain a recording material improved in light resistance of a microcapsule layer, by using a p-substd. aminophenylindolylphthalide derivative or the like as a color former and a paraffin oil as a solvent, in microcapsules containing a substantially colorless color former and a solvent therein. CONSTITUTION:A recording material comprises microcapsules containing a substantially colorless electron-donative color former and a solvent therein, and an electron-acceptive color developer. At least one selected from a p-substd. aminophenylindolylphthalide derivative, a p-substd. aminophenylino dolylazaphthalide derivative and a p-substd. aminophenylindolyldiazapthalide derivative is used as the color former. A paraffin oil is used as the solvent, in an amount of at least 20wt.% based on the core substance in the microcapsules. By this, a recording material can be obtained which is improved in light resistance of a microcapsule layer, is capable of being enhanced in color forming speed, and is capable of being reduced in film thickness through increasing the concentration of the color former. |
