PURPOSE:To select the propriety of the display of a character or the words of a song on a screen and to change those colors, etc., by using a scanning line separated from a scanning line over plural fields part and recording a signal to express the propriety, etc, of the color or the display of character information or video information which are different from normal video information. CONSTITUTION:A color changing position instructing signal, which is inputted to an input terminal 8 and supplied to a memory 6, is added to the scanning line separated from the scanning line to which the character signal of the respective fields of the plural fields part of a composite video signal are added in a superposing circuit 9. Only the character signal, which is added to the scanning line of the vertical blanking period of the respective fields of the plural fields part, is sampled and inputted to a memory 21. On the other hand, the color changing position instructing signal separated by a gate circuit 17 is inputted to a memory 22. Here, while the contents of the memory 21 are read by a gate circuit 18, the contents of the memory 22 are repeated and superposed by a superposing or gate circuit 23. Thus, the change of the color of the character can be displayed in each 1/60 second and an enough display speed can be obtained. |
