PURPOSE: To facilitate the change of function from as a transfer exclusive machine to as an automatic transaction device with a money paying function by making a receipt carrier exclusive unit and a paper money handling unit have interchangeability and making the exchange easy. CONSTITUTION: The automatic transaction device assembly has a card reader/ receipt printer 2 receiving a cash card 3 and printing the transaction contents for which the cash card 3 is used on a receipt 4 and receipt receiving mechanisms 11a and 12a receiving these receipts and transferring them. In these receipt receiving mechanisms 11a and 12a, a receipt carrier exclusive unit 11 and a paper money handling unit 12 are made to have a common constitution, and the interchangeability is imparted to the receipt carrier exclusive unit 11 and the paper money handling unit 12. The receipt carrier unit 11 and the paper money handling unit 12 are selectively coupled with the card reader/ receipt printer 2.
