<p>PURPOSE: To highly efficiently separate copper or other nonferrous metal from a nonferrous metal cable coated with synthetic resin material by comprising a process to give a strong mechanical stirring or impact for removing the nonferrous metal from the synthetic resin material. CONSTITUTION: With the rotation of a driving shaft 22, the shredded portions of an electric cable charged in a center area 19 are moved outward with centrifugal force, while being subjected to violent stirring and impacts with the cooperation of a fixed pin 20 and a pin 24. An end plate 15 has a plane 25 facing inward, while a rotating disc 23 has a plane 26 facing inward, the plane 26 being polished to be smooth and precisely placed. The ends of the fixed pin 20 and the pin 24 are located very near the planes 25, 26. The shredded electric cables are subjected to stirring and percussion without fail with the fixed pin and the pin 24, which cannot be moved outward without being subjected to stirring and impacts. In this way, copper (or other nonferrous material) of the electric cable is separated from a synthetic resin coating with high separation efficiency.</p> |
