PURPOSE:To prevent a rearview mirror from bringing about contact accidents and expand rearview by forming a housing protruding above the roof of a car and providing a view port to the rear face of the housing and also a rearview mirror at the front face of the interior. CONSTITUTION:To a part of the ceiling 3 in front of the front seat of the automobile 1, an upward protrudedly housing 4 extending in the car width direction is formed. To the rear face of the housing 4 a view port 5 is formed, and to the front face of the interior a horizontal and vertical angle adjustable mirror 6 extending in lateral direction is arranged so that the driver may look rearward through the view port 5 and rearview mirror 6. This eliminates the protrusion of the mirror to the outside of the car, making it possible to prevent the rearview mirror 6 from contact accidents with pedestrians, oncoming vehicles and so on and also expand the rearview of the automobile. |
