PURPOSE: To obtain a satisfactory tone color by preparing a desired musical interval by obtaining the weighted mean of several signals pitch-converted so as to obtain the desired musical interval at the time of preparing the musical sound of the desired musical interval which is not stored in a musical sound signal storage part. CONSTITUTION: At the time of preparing the musical sound of a desired musical interval which is not stored in a musical sound signal storage part 13 in which the musical sound signals of plural musical intervals are stored, the musical sound signals of several musical intervals stored in the neighborhood of the desired musical interval are pitch-converted by a pitch converting part 14 so as to obtain the desired interval. The weighted mean of the several pitch- converted signals is obtained so that the desired musical interval is obtained. Thus, a musical instrument sound is generated with a satisfactory tone color extremely close to that of the actual musical instrument. |
