PURPOSE:To obtain polyolefin resin spherical particles in high yield by dissolving, on heating under pressure, a polyolefin resin in a mixed solvent of diethyl ethanolamine and xylene under a nonoxidative atmosphere followed by gradual cooling. CONSTITUTION:First, in a vessel equipped with a stirring and heating devices, (A) 1-40pts.wt. of a polyolefin resin is dissolved, on heating under pressure, in (B) 100pts.wt. of a mixed solvent made up of diethyl ethanolamine and xylene (pref. in the ratio 7:3) under a nonoxidative atmosphere. Thence, the stirring is stopped, followed by gradual cooling to separate fine particles of the resin during this cooling process followed by separation through filtration and then vacuum drying and classification, thus obtaining the objective powder. |
