PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a reciprocating compressor by inserting a crank pin into the side part of a piston pin, and composing a mechanism for converting the rotation of the crank pin to the linear motion with mechanisms on the tip of the crank pin and inside the piston, and thereby dispensing with a conventional connecting rod. CONSTITUTION:A crank pin 24 is formed with an eccentricity alpha on the end of the driving shaft 23 of a driving motor 22 provided on a cylindrical frame 21, and on the tip of the crank pin 24 a cylindrical roller 26 is arranged through a needle-shaped roller bearing 25. A cylinder 27, which has a center shaft perpendicular to the axial direction of the driving shaft 23 is formed on the frame 21, while inside thereof a piston 28 which has an opening 30 provided with plane transfer faces 31, 32 parallel to each other is engaged. A mechanism for converting the eccentric rotation of the crank pin 24 to the reciprocating motion of the piston 28 is thus constructed by means of the cylindrical roller 26 provided on the crank pin 24 and the transfer faces 31, 32. A compression space 34, formed with the piston 28 and the cylinder 27, is connected to an swelling part (not shown) through a connecting hole 36. |
