Dietetic and therapeutic foodstuff is produced by treating soya protein with honey. The foodstuff can be used in slimming diets and in cases of stress, fatigue, etc. Treatment with honey, imparts a pleasant taste and allows the soya protein to be used in uncooked form. The soya protein source pref. has a protein content of 40-100% (esp. 90%). It is pref. treated with honey at room temp. The honey is pref. used in an amt. of 10-50% (esp. 20-30%) based on the soya protein. The foodstuff can also contain other proteins (e.g. milk protein), as well as filters such as cellulose and bran, vitamins, minerals, etc. |
