<p>PURPOSE:To form the environment appropriate for the survival and propagation of microbes by forming the contact surface, on which a microbe membrane for treating untreated water is formed, with a porous ceramic, and depositing microbes in the pores. CONSTITUTION:Each contact plate 13 is composed of a core 13a consisting of a resin sheet made of the lightweight hard vinyl chloride resin having excellent durability and a porous ceramic 13b on the surface, i.e., the contact surface, and the contact plates 13 are arranged in layers. Anaerobes and aerobes are grown in the pores of the porous ceramic 13b, the environment appropriate for the living and propagation of the microbes is formed, and the growth of a microbe membrane is promoted. As a result, the washing capacity for untreated water is doubled, and the space for the equipment can be decreased at a low cost. In addition, since the contact surface is formed with the porous ceramic 13b, excellent corrosion resistance and durability are obtained, and the reliability of the product can be enhanced.</p> |
