In the case of a vehicle step device having at least one step or rung to permit a person to climb to a higher vehicle level, there are provided an upper tyre-gripping part and an essentially vertical supporting rod. When the step device is mounted in its position of use on the tyre, the gripping part preferably grips round the upper running surface region of the tyre in a clamp-like fashion and the supporting rod, which is connected to the gripping part in a stable fashion, is laterally supported on the vehicle wheels. |
