A description is given of a securing pin (14) for the releasable connection of two components (10, 12) which can move relative to each other between a released position and a connected position and of which each component exhibits at least one bore (16, 18, 20, 22) which are of the same diameter and, in the connected position of the components (10, 12), is directly adjacent to the bore of the respectively other component and lies axially in line therewith. The securing pin exhibits a first region (24), the diameter (d2) of which is greater than the diameter (d1) of the bores. Adjoining the first region (24) is a second region (26), the diameter (d1) of which is the same as the diameter (d1) of the bores (16, 18, 20, 22). The length of the second region (26) corresponds at least to the sum of the lengths of the bores. Adjoining the second region (26) is a third region (28), the diameter (d3) of which, at its two ends (34, 36), is at most the same as the diameter (d1) of the second region (26) and, in a portion (32) located between its two ends, is greater than the diameter (d1) of the second region (26). The third region (28) can be elastically compressed in its cross-section to such an extent that its diameter (d3) between its ends (34, 36) also assumes at least the diameter (d1) of the second region (26). <IMAGE>
