PURPOSE:To increase adhesive strength of a layer carrying activated alumina such as gamma-, delta-, eta, theta-alumina by forming oxidized film by existing lanthanoids element on the surface of heat-resisting steel substrate and by heat-treating. CONSTITUTION:One or more kinds of lanthanoids element such as lanthanum, cerium is stuck by thermal spraying or ion plating on the surface of flat 3 or corrugated 2 heat-resisting steel plate such as stainless steel consisting of <=30wt.% chromium, 1-10wt.% aluminum and the rest, or an existing layer is formed on the steel plate by applying and drying aq. soln. dissolved lanthanoids element. Thereafter, the oxidized layer 4 of activated alumina such as gamma-, delta-, theta-alumina contg. little alpha-alumina is formed by heat-treating. The alumina carrier layer stuck by existing the layer and catalytic metal 6 such as platinum, rhodium is carried on the activated alumina carrier layer. As a result, the crystal structure of the activated alumina is stabilized. Besides, the carrier layer can be firmly sticked. |
